User’s Manual

Triggering

11-21

To program the SourceMeter for the trigger parameters above, perform the following
steps:

1.

Press CONFIG then TRIG.

2.

Select ARM-LAYER, then press ENTER.

3.

Choose ARM-IN, then press ENTER.

4.

Select MANUAL, then press ENTER.

5.

Select COUNT, then press ENTER.

6.

Choose FINITE, then press ENTER.

7.

Using the cursor and RANGE keys, change the displayed ARM-COUNT to 2, then
press ENTER.

8.

Press EXIT to return to the CONFIGURE TRIGGER menu.

9.

Select TRIG-LAYER, then press ENTER.

10.

Select TRIGGER-OUT, then press ENTER.

11.

Choose LINE, then press ENTER.

12.

Select Line #1, then press ENTER.

13.

Select EVENTS, then press ENTER.

14.

Using cursor and RANGE keys, set the SOURCE and MEAS events to ON, then
press ENTER.

15.

Press EXIT to return to the CONFIGURE TRIG-LAYER menu.

16.

Select DELAY, then press ENTER.

17.

Using the cursor and RANGE keys, set the delay to 0.1s, then press ENTER.

18.

Select COUNT, then press ENTER.

19.

Use the cursor and RANGE keys to set the count to 10, then press ENTER.

20.

Press EXIT twice to return to normal display.

After configuring the various trigger parameters, press the ON/OFF OUTPUT key to turn
on the output. Press TRIG to trigger the unit, after which it cycles 10 times through the
trigger layer. A second TRIG press is required to trigger the unit the second time, and it
then completes the second cycle through the trigger layer.
