EasyMatch QC User’s Manual Version 2.1

Semi-micro Powder Holder

This option provides a holder and special port plate that allow the measurement of small quantities
(approximately 0.4 cc) of packed powder.

To install and use the powder holder, complete the steps below.

1. Install the small area view port plate and standardize the UltraScan VIS in a reflectance mode for the

0.375-inch (9.575 mm) area view.

2. Replace the standard port plate with the modified port plate.

3. Place the powder to be read into the powder holder.

4. Pack the powder down using the plunger. Do not overtighten the powder holder. The powder

should be at least 1/2-cm deep in the holder.
