5.2

Changing EMC protection class

If your supply network is an IT (impedance-grounded) system but your AC drive is EMC-protected accord-
ing to class C2 you need to modify the EMC protection of the AC drive to EMC-level T. This is done by
removing the built-in EMC jumpers with a simple procedure described below:

5.2.1

Frames MR4 to MR7

Warning! Do not perform any modifications on the drive when it is con-
nected to mains.

Remove the main cover (frames MR4 to MR7) and the cable cover (frame MR7)
of the AC drive (see pages 25 and 26) and locate the jumpers connecting the
built-in RFI-filters to ground. See Figure 41.

2

Disconnect the RFI-filters from ground by

removing

the EMC-jumpers using

long-nose pliers or similar. See Figure 42.
