ALTERNATOR

Install the starter motor into the left crankcase cover and

onto the crankcase .
Install the mounting bolts with the ground cable, and tighten

the bolts.
Install the stater motor cable and terminal nut onto the

motor terminal and tighten the nut.
Install the rubber cap over the motor terminal properly.

STATOR/IGNITION PULSE
GENERATOR

REMOVAL

Remove the left crankcase cover (page 10-2).
Remove the flange bolts (3 nos.), wire guide and ignition

pulse generator.
Remove the grommet.

Remove the three flange bolts and stator from the left

crankcase cover.

INSTALLATION

Install the stator.
Install the three bolts and tighten it.

TORQUE: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.3 lbf·ft)

While installing

the starter motor

cable, route the

wire harness

properly.
