3.2.3.2 Installing Windows XP Mode

Follow the procedure below to install Windows XP Mode:
1. If you are not logged on to the computer as an administrator account, log on to the

computer as an administrator account.

2. Start the command prompt to start an installation program.

Start

and point to

All Programs

・

Click

Accessories

・

Right-click

Command Prompt

to show a menu. On the menu, click

Run as

administrator

(If the administrator account you used for log on is a built-in administrator account,
simply click

Command Prompt

・

If you see the

User Account Control

window, click

Yes

3. At the command prompt, type the following and press

Enter

cd C:¥HITACHI¥XP_Mode

4. And then type the following and press

Enter

. Installation starts.

WXPMode_install.bat

5. When the installation finishes, the following message is displayed to indicate the

installation is complete.

Installation completed.

This completes the installation procedure. Close the command prompt.
