Configuring the CAN/LIN Definition Data Settings
No.
Name
Function
5
Byte order
Allows you to choose between big-endian ordering and little-endian
ordering for the data concerned,
Big
Sends the most significant byte first (Motorola
order).
Little
Sends the least significant byte first (Intel order).
See “Data allocation ([Byte order])” (p. 296).
6
Data type
Allows you to choose a data type for the data concerned.
Signed
Signed integral type
Unsigned
Unsigned integral type
Float
Single-precision floating-point data type
Double
Double-precision floating-point data type
7
Ratio
Allows you to enter a conversion ratio
Physical values can be obtained from the following expression.
(Physical value) = (Conversion ratio) × (Data value [bit]) + (Offset)
(Default conversion ratio: 1.0, default offset value: 0.0)
8
Offset
9
Check sum
Allows you to choose a checksum concept for every frame ID when
performing LIN measurement.
Classic
Standard checksum
Enhanced
Enhanced checksum
10
DLC
Allows you to enter a data length code (DLC) for every frame ID when
performing LIN measurement. (Default: 1)
