Configuring the CAN/LIN Definition Data Settings
Data allocation (
[Byte order]
)
Captured data using a big-endian ordering differs from those using a little-endian ordering although
the same data starting address (
[Start bit]
) and the same bit length (
[Bit length]
) are uses.
In the following figure, the shaded cells indicate the pieces of data to be captured when a bit length
of 10 and a data starting address (LSB position) of bit 16 are configured.

The MSB is configured at address 9.

In the following figure, assuming that byte 0 and byte 1 have 16-bit data of FF and 00, respectively.
The following 16-bit data sets are captured:
Big-endian ordering (MSB first): FF00 (Data starting address: 8)
Little-endian ordering (LSB first): 00FF (Data starting address: 0)
