Testing Pulsers and IS Barriers
Voltage is limited to 12 VDC in the pulser. An IS Barrier is used to limit the current. Test the
pulser by substitution and proceed as follows:

Unplug the pulser and plug in a known, good pulser.

Rotate the pulser and watch displays for the count.

Test the IS barrier by substitution, or disconnect it and check the IS Barrier with an Ohmmeter.

Measure 10,000 Ohms + or - 20% from gray to gray, yellow to yellow, brown to brown, and
orange to orange.

Always read a low resistance from the green wire to the case.

Measure between each wire. Meter should indicate an open.
