ID (SCSI ID)
Used to access [HDD INFORMATION] sub menu with items concerning selected HDD only.
Cursor select drive ID # and push ENTER to access sub menu. Push ENTER again to return
to this menu. See sec. ‘7-3-2. Specified HDD ’.
Note
If you have connected external hard drives, but they do
not appear in this list (STATUS is NONE), verify that a
SCSI ID number has been assigned at that hard drive
unit. (Consult drive manual for ID setting procedure at
drive side.)

REC TIME
Shows min. record time possible for hard disk. Time shown here is for realtime recording
(NTSC 60 fields / sec., PAL 50 fields / sec.) with quality set to SUPER. Lower quality setting
and / or different record interval settings will allow user to extend hard disk recording time.
(Note that this display will always show
minimum
record time possible.)

STATUS
Shows condition of each hard disk.
Where:
NONE
No hard disk connected with this SCSI ID number assigned.
FORMAT – %
Hard disk being formatted. Format progress indicated as a
percentage. (Cannot record or playback this disk while formatting.)
HDD ERROR
Hard disk has a possible defect. (Verify error at [HDD
INFORMATION] sub menu for this drive. See sec. ‘7-3-2. Specified
HDD ’.) Format / reformat disk. If STATUS is still HDD ERROR after
format / reformat of disk, contact hard disk supplier. (Cannot record
or playback this disk if HDD ERROR status.)
EVENT CLEAR
Events are being cleared from hard disk. (Cannot record or
playback this disk while clearing events.)
EVENT ERROR
Hard disk has an event control information error. Clear events to
remove error.
NOT ASSIGNED
Hard disk use not assigned. Hard disk cannot be used for record or
playback. See sec. ‘6-10. HDD’ to assign HDD use.
PB USE ONLY
Hard disk can only be used for playback. Cannot be used for record
operations.
PB/REC USE
Hard disk can be used for playback and record operations.

Asterisk shows which hard disk has the timeline index where record operations will start.
Asterisk will flash when record operations are being performed.

PLAY
Asterisk shows which hard disk has the timeline index where playback operations will start.
Asterisk will flash when playback operations (play, jog, shuttle) are being performed.
