Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
Low/no TankSafe™
product spray
• Check the TankSafe™ product supply container. It should contain at
least
40 mm (1.6 in) of liquid. If it does not, replace it with a full supply
container.
• Check for proper connections between the TankSafe™ product
supply container and the unit.
• Make sure the TankSafe™ product supply pipe is not blocked or
kinked.
• Depress the nozzle plunger two times to unclog the nozzle.
• Make sure the air compressor is on, both sets of valves are open,
and the supply pressure is at least 5.5 bar (80 psi).
Time to reach desired % of
LEL is longer than normal
NOTE : Hot, humid environments may result in longer degas times.
Make sure:
• The air compressor is functioning correctly, the valves are open, the
supply pressure is at least 5.5 bar (80 psi), and the volumetric air
flow is correct.
• The nozzle is spraying the TankSafe™ product. If not, see the Low/
no TankSafe™ product spray problem above.
• The unit is properly connected to the tank with no leaks or kinks in
the ducting.
• The tank connection guidelines were followed.
• The tank outlet is not blocked.
• The tank outlet vent (if fitted) is not blocked and suitably sized.
• As much fuel as possible has been removed.
• The correct drop tube configuration has been used.
• There is no sludge or residual fuel in the tank.
Low airflow despite
adequate air pressure
• Make sure the air compressor is functioning correctly, and the
valves are open. Also make sure the supply pressure is at least 5.5
bar (80 psi).
• Make sure the tank connection guidelines were followed.
• Check the air filters:
• If they are full of water, the auto-drain is not working. Unscrew
the drain plug, allow the filter to drain, and then replace the
auto-drain.
• If the filter element is dirty, replace it.
