6. Depress the nozzle plunger two times to make sure the nozzle is not plugged. Repeat if

necessary.

: Make sure no personnel put their faces into the outlet air stream

7. Make sure the TankSafe™ product is spraying out of the nozzle through the side port or

through the inlet side of the unit.

8. Wait 15 minutes, and then monitor the % lower explosive limit (LEL) at the port on the

event riser to prevent poisoning the gas meter.
• This must be done by a qualified person.
• The meter must be a calibrated gas detector meter with an internal pump suitable for

the measuring the % LEL of the fuel vapors being degassed.

• Once below 100% LEL, take LEL readings every five minutes and record them on the

NanoVapor™ data collection sheet.

9. Every 15 minutes, verify that the nozzle is spraying the TankSafe™ product into the

airstream. If it is not, depress the nozzle plunger two times. Repeat if necessary.

10. Verify every 15 minutes that the auto-drain on the air filters are working and the filters are

not full of water.
If the auto-drain is not working, unscrew the nut on the bottom of the filter, and drain out
any water. Replace the auto-drain before next use. Check filters for oil contamination.
