Conductive ducting

WARNING

: In addition to earting (grounding) the unit, the ducting used to connect the unit to

the tank must be conductive. If it is not conductive, static electricity may buildup and discharge in
the form of a spark.

Equipment location and applicability

WARNING

: To ensure safe operation, application of the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit is

limited to the requirements listed in the Applicability section of this manual.

In addition, the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit must only be used in hazardous areas
permitted by the ATEX Marking, II 2GD IIC T4. Locating and operating the unit in Zone 0 areas is
not permitted. The air compressor used to power the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit must
be located outside the hazardous work area as defined by the operator’s Work Standards.

Using NanoVapor™ technology

WARNING

: Proper use of the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit is essential for safe

operation.

Modification of the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit or the TankSafe™ product, use of other
chemicals with the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit, or use of the TankSafe™ product with
non-NanoVapor™ equipment could result in potentially unsafe tank conditions.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All safety equipment required by your employer while on the job site must be used while
operating the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit. All procedures established by your employer
for the work being performed must be followed while operating the NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™
Delivery Unit.

In general, safety shoes, safety glasses, hardhat, gloves, and a high visibility vest are required
while operating NanoVapor™ equipment. Additionally, ear protection must be used while the
NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit is in operation. The NV-ST-1000 TankSafe™ Delivery Unit
exceeds 80 dB. Ear protection must be worn at all times while the System is in operation.

Hot Surfaces

The compressed air connections on the unit may be hot due to the compressed air flow after
operation. Gloves should be worn when connecting and disconnecting the compressed air hoses.
