7.4 Connection of the RS232 service interface

Connection
• Remove the protective cap on the transmitter by turning it to the left.
• Insert the connector into the transmitter socket.
• Turn the knurled ring to the right in order to fix the connector.
Removal
• Push the connector firmly toward the transmitter. Turn the knurled ring to the left and re -
move the connector from the transmitter socket.
• Screw the protective cap on the socket. Turn protective cap to the right in order to fix it.
7.4 Connection of the RS232 service interface
The RS232 service interface is located on the front plate of the transmitter, see Fig. 6.1.
• Connect the RS232 cable to the transmitter and the serial interface of the PC. If the
RS232 cable cannot be connected to the PC, use the RS232/USB adapter.
