Installation and Operation

Installation Overview

Install and set up the Cable Cubby enclosure as follows:

Verify the surface cutout dimensions of the TLP 350CV. See

"Obtain Cutout Dimensions" on page 2-3

To obtain the most recent cutout dimensions, visit the Extron Web site at

www.extron.com

If planning to use a mounting template that has not been prepared,

prepare the template. See

"Preparing the Table" on page 2-3

and

"Preparing the Routing Template" on page 2-4

Cut a hole in the surface where the enclosure will be installed. See

"Cutting the Table", on page 2-4

Run all cables necessary to support the AC connector, the cables stored in

the cubby, and all planned AAP connectors. Leave enough slack in the

cables to connect or route them before the cubby is installed in the table. See

"Installing the Cables and AAPs" on page 2-6

Install the power module. If the location requires electrical conduit, install an Extron

flexible conduit kit. Refer to the Flexible Conduit Kit Installation Guide, Extron part

#68-734-01. See

"Install the Included Power Module" on page 2-6

Install cables into the cable pass-through AAPs and loosely fasten to the AAP Shelf. See

"Installing Pass-through AAP cable", on page 2-8

If applicable, install passive AAPs and loosely fasten to the AAP shelf. Connect cables

to the rear connectors. See

"Installing the Passive AAPs", on page 2-9

Install the AAP shelf assembly into the Cable Cubby. See

"Install the Shelf Assembly" on page 2-10

Mount the Cable Cubby in the table. See

"Mounting the TLP 350CV", on page 2-11

Mount the external power supply. See,

"Mounting the Power Supply", on page 2-12

Connect the power supply to the TLP 350CV. See

"Rear Panel, Power Connector" on page 2-14

Connect a LAN. See

"Network Connector" on page 2-15

If using the video monitoring capabilities, make all video input connections. See

"Video Connections" on page 2-15

Apply power and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the TLP 350CV for first

time operation. See
