Updating Firmware

Firmware for the TLP 350CV can be upgraded using the Extron Firmware Loader utility.

The factory default IP address for the TLP 350CV is 192.168.254.254. Consult with

your IT Department to ensure all IP addresses are correctly assigned.

Power on a computer with internet access and ensure the computer and the

TLP 350CV are connected to the same network.

If it has not been previously installed, install the Extron Firmware Loader utility

onto the computer. The loader utility is on the included disk or can be downloaded,

free of charge, from Extron at

www.extron.com

• To

install from the disk, insert the disk into the DVD ROM drive and follow the

same procedure as for installing the GUI Configurator and Global Configurator

programs (see page 4-2).

• To install from the Extron Web site, select the

Download

tab and click on the

Software tab

, locate the Firmware Loader and click

Download

. Follow the

onscreen instructions to complete installation.

From the same site, download the firmware for the TLP 350CV. Click on the

Download

tab on the Extron home page and select the

Firmware

option.

Navigate to the TLP 350CV firmware and click

Download

. This will download

the firmware to the computer. Make a note of the folder where the firmware file is

saved.

Open the Extron Firmware Loader by clicking on the desktop icon.

On the "Add Device" dialog box, choose the

TCP/IP

tab.

Enter the IP address for the TLP 350CV, a Telnet port number, and, if necessary, a

password. Click

Administrator level privileges are required to upload firmware to Extron devices.
