5.5 FIRE PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION
The Fire event is of the 24h type and it can be generated in the following ways:
By FO31WL detectors, with sector allocation.
By the opening of control panel wire inputs or MM30WL magnetic contacts auxiliary inputs programmed
as Fire, with sector allocation.
By local and remote keyboard by pressing one of the function keys programmed as Fire.
By remote controls by pressing one of the keys programmed as Fire.
The Fire procedure is divided into 3 stages:
Start, Silencing and Reset
.
FIRE EVENT - START
Fire detetction by means of one or several of the methods described above will produce the following effects:
o
Activation of every output programmed as Fire (internal siren, external siren, control panel relay outputs)
allocated to the same input sectors which generated the event. If the event is generated by function key,
since sector allocation is not programmable, all system outputs will be activated;
o
Sending of the fire event start via communicator to all telephone numbers programmed with fire send type by
voice message, SMS message, modem, numeric protocol;
o
Displaying of the fire icon on control panel display that will stay on as alarm memory up to fire reset;
o
Storage in the event memory of the event “Fire start”, with relevant details.
FIRE EVENT - SILENCING
The fire alarm
time is fixed to 15 minutes. It is however possible “to silence” the fire outputs by enetering a valid
code.
More particularly, with "silencing" is meant:
o
Temporary
disabling of UC relay outputs programmed as Fire;
o
Temporary
silencing of UC built-in siren;
o
Temporary
silencing of external sirens;
o
Silencing of FO31WL built-in buzzer if programmed with reset from enabled remote.
After a common silencing, the control panel will repeat the fire alarm after 10 minutes. If no fire silencing is effected
and the alarm cycle (15 minutes) comes to an end naturally the alarm will not be repeated. The alarm is however
memorised and waiting for termination by fire reset, which is always compulsory.
FIRE EVENT - RESET (OR EVENT END)
Every fire event must end with the termination of all the events that are still on through the intervention of an
operator which must perform the fire reset only by means of a keyboard function key (after entering a valid code)
programmed as "fire reset" (or from remote control by a dedicated key). Plase note that for using the fire function it
is compulsory to have at least one function key programmed as "fire reset".
The effects are the following:
o
Clearing of the fire icon from the display;
o
Alarm memory LED reset on remote keyboards;
o
Alarm memory LED reset on FO31WL (only if programmed with reset from enabled remote);
o
Notification on event memory: "fire reset ";
o
Sending of all "Fire end" events via communicator to the telephone numbers of numeric type programmed
with fire send.
