Purpose:
If both the PSTN and GSM telephone lines are not available, this enables you to set the priority order between
sending the messages or disabling the c
ommunicator’s use.
Use priority
: this function enables the setting of one of the two lines as a priority one. If the line selected as priority
one is not available, the sending will be automatically carried out on the other network (network automatic backup).
Warning: this function is only available if there is a GSM IMG30 module.
Activation
: this function enables the activation or deactivation of the use of both the communicators (PSTN and
GSM).
8.88 ADVANCED 1 - SIM CARD EXPIRATION [994]
Menu > Telephonic Trx - Advanced 1 > Advanced 1 - SIM card expiration
Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
Sends the SMS message “SIM expiration” previously stored (see par. 8.67 SMS MESSAGES [92] the first day of
the month adjusted, to remind of the next SIM card expiration.
Caution: in order that this function gives the expected results, the date must be adjusted correctly in the central unt
(see par. TIME AND DATE - ADJUST DATE).
Activation
:
1. Press OK
2. Enter the month preceding the actual SIM card expiration in format mm/aa and press OK to confirm. For
example, if the SIM card expires in May 2006, enter 0406.

–SIM PIN CODE [995]

– Sim Pin Code
Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
It enables to memorize in the control panel the PIN code of the SIM Card. To use this function the PIN code
request on the SIM card must be enabled. Warning: this menu does not change the SIM PIN code.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key.
2. Enter the PIN code of the SIM card provided by your telephone carrier (usually 4 digits) and then press
OK
to confirm.
HOW TO HANDLE IT:
Should an incorrect PIN code be entered
(different from the SIM one) or
should the entered PIN code be
correct but your SIM card is not programmed for PIN code request
, the GSM communicator is set off (iscon
GSM KO turns on) and the outputs programmed as phone failure, if any, are activated. The event is recorded in the
event memory (Error: PIN code incorrect).
To delete a memorized PIN code
, just enter a digit (from 0 to 9) and confirm with
OK
.
