8.66 ADVANCED - MEMORY CARD [851]

TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This enables you to save the whole programming (system codes included) an a removable support (Memory Card)
which can be reinserted in the control panel when necessary. The backup operation, which it is advisable to carry
out when the programming is finished, and the following re-introduction are useful in the following cases:
It is necessary to replace a damaged control panel: in this way the replacement operation is much faster, since
the programming must not be repeated;
Errors are involuntarily carried out, for example all the devices are deleted instead of only one and it is
necessary to move back to the previous status.
Warning
: the programming reset operation must only be used with the original system and not to duplicate the
programming (in this way control panel with the same system codes would be created).
NOTE:
When transferring settings from WL31 to WL31, exception is made for the event memory and the
time programmer which is set to zero and deactivated.
NOTE: it is possible to save programing from WL31 control panels 1.40 and next versions.
How to do it:
SAVE
1. Press
OK
. The display shows the message «Memory Card - Save Data».
2. Open the control panel by unscrewing the screw situated on the cover.
3. Insert the Memory Card in the specific location (see figure).
4. Press the
OK
key. Press the
key to display the message «Confirm YES»
and then the
OK
key again.
5. The data saving starts, and a bar on the display shows its progression. At the
end the message «Memory Card - Save Data» is displayed again.
6. Remove the Memory Card and keep it in a safe place, taking care not to ruin its contacts.
RECOVER
1. Press
OK
. The display shows the message «Memory Card - Save Data». Press the
key to display the
message «Memory Card - Recover data»
2. Open the control panel by unscrewing the screw situated on the cover.
3. Insert the Memory Card in the specific location.
4. Press the
OK
key. Press the
key to display the message «Confirm YES» and then the
OK
key again.
5. The data recovery starts, and a bar on the display shows its progression. The display shows also the version of
the control panel, which data are being recovered. At the end the message «Memory Card - Recover Data» is
displayed again.
6. Remove the Memory Card and keep it in a safe place, taking care not to ruin its contacts.
8.67 ADVANCED - RESET [852]
Menu > Maintenance > Maintenance - Advanced > Advanced - Reset
Authorization level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This enables you to delete all the control panel and devices programming and to move back to the pre-set
situation.
Warning
: the Reset operation is not a reversible one.
Partial reset
:This type of reset brings the DEVICES PROGRAMMING and all system devices only back to factory
values. No change of Master, Technician and Auxiliary User codes.
Press the OK key. Press the
key to display the message «Confirm YES» and then the OK key again.
Total reset
:This type of reset brings the WHOLE SYSTEM back to factory values and cancels the acquisition of all
devices. No changes of Master, Technician and Auxiliary User codes.
Press the OK key. Press the
key to display the message «Confirm YES» and then the OK key again.
CAUTION
: THIS OPERATION INVOLVES THE RE-ACQUISITION OIF ALL DEVICES (after total reset, each
device must be reset, see par. 12.2 DEVICE RESET and 4.1 SUPPLY AND ACQUISITION)
