4.6 INSTALLATION OF THE KEYBOARDS
4.6.1 INSTALLATION WARNINGS
To install the keyboards correctly, please take the following precautions:
Do not install the keyboards on metallic surfaces or near big metallic objects.
Do not install the keyboard near electromagnetic sources such as electric engines, reactors, electric panels, etc.
Position the keyboard at about 160 cm from floor level.
4.6.2 INSTALLATION
To install the keyboard do as follows:
1. Write down a table to summarize the programming for the keyboard assembly zone (if you followed our advice,
the address of the detector is written on an adhesive label attached on the back of the device).
2. If the keyboard is not open yet, open it.
3. Fix the keyboard base to the wall with nogs, breaking the plastic which cover the pre-set holes.
4. Reinsert the supplied batteries.
5. Close the keyboard.
4.6.3 PERSONALIZATION OF THE KEYBOARD
It is possible to personalize the five function keys (F1… F5) using the specific labels (please refer to the description
given in 5.2 KEYS PERSONALIZED LABELS) to be positioned under the transparent key covers supplied.
4.7 CONTROL PANEL POWERING AND CLOSING
It is now possible to supply power to the control panel again. To do so, connect the batteries and, if it is present,
the PS30 power pack. Close the control panel and screw the screw situated on its cover.
CAUTION: EVERY TIME YOU CUT AND SUPPLY POWER TO THE CONTROL PANEL, WAIT AT LEAST
40 MIN. TO ASSURE THE SYSTEM OPERATIVITY
4.8 CONNECTION TEST
Before carrying out the system’s configuration, it is advisable to carry out a new test of the radio connection with
the different devices in their final position. For the instructions relating to this test, please refer to the
Chapter
“CONTROL PANEL PROGRAMMING”.
4.9 SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
To configure the whole system follow the procedure explained in the
Chapter “CONTROL PANEL
PROGRAMMING”.
Remember to fill-in the programming tables as you go along with the programming.
