8.77 PSTN PARAMETERS - TONE CHECK [943]
Menu > Telephonic Trx - PSTN parameters > PSTN parameters - Tone check
Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose
This enables
the check authorization of the tone to be used for the dialling (dial tone). The communicator’s possible
options are as follows:
Tone check deactivated
: the selection of the telephone number is carried out approximately 3 seconds after
accessing the line, independently from the presence of the dial tone.
Tone check activated:
when the line is accessed, the presence of the selection tone (dial tone) is checked. If it is
present, the telephone number is dialled and at the end, before sending the messages, the presence of the call
check tone (ring back tone) is verified. If the ring back tone is not present, the call is interrupted and repeated later on
according to programmed cycles. If on the other hand the dial tone is not detected at the beginning - and the GSM
module is present in the control panel - the phone call is carried out through the GSM line.
How to do it
:
1. Press the

check activated».
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the

8.78 PARAMETER PSTN - RESPONSE CONTROL [944]

Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose
This enables you to avoid calling back, during a calls repetition cycle, a vocal telephone number which has already
answered the call. The communicator’s possible behaviours are as follows:
Response check deactivated
: the voice message is sent immediately after dialling, without waiting for the
answer of the called number.
Response check activated
: the voice message is only sent when the called user answers. If the response
check is activated, also the tone check is automatically activated.
How to do it
:
1. Press the

«Response check activated».
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key.
8.79 TELESURV. CODE [95]
Menu > Telephonic Trx - Telesurv. code
Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose
This enables the recording of the subscription code supplied by the Alarm reception centre. This code is necessary
for the system to be identified by the Centre.
How to do it
:
1. Press the
OK
key
.
The display shows the message «Telesurv. code» with a flashing cursor.
2. Input the code using the keyboard (8 figures maximum) and confirm it using the
OK
key.
8.80 PSTN LINE TEST [96]
Menu > Telephonic Trx - PSTN line test
Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose
This enables you to activate or deactivate the PSTN telephone line automatic test. The test consists of periodical
checks, several times during an hour, of the presence of the line sound by the responder STM30. The test does not
requir any phone calls. If after 3 subsequent tests no line sound is detected, en event “phone fault” is generated
and the outputs programmed as "phone fault" are activated.
Possible configurations:
Test Line PSTN Disables:
no check is made on the PSTN line
Test Line PSTN 24/24 h:
the line is tested cyclically, 24/24 hrs.
Test Line PSTN System Activated:
the PSTN line is tested only with activated system.
How to do it:
1. Press the

PSTN test line active. 24/24 H» and «PSTN test line System on active».
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the
