8.84 ADVANCED 1 - RESPONDER [990]

Purpose:
The PSTN (STM30) and GSM (IMG30) communicators can be authorized to answer the following after automatic
recognition:
Modem calls coming from a Remote management centre equipped with Fast Link software;
Phone calls coming from fixed or mobile phones.
In the first case, the Centre can carry out the required operations; in the second case, it is possible to commute the
central outputs programmed as service ones, or activate and deactivate the alarm system.
When the responder function is activated, it is possible to set the number of rings after which the communicator
answers to an incoming call. It is advisable to set a high number of rings, to enable people to answer the incoming
phone calls.
Warning
: do not use a PSTN phone line to which automatic answering devices, such as answering
machines of faxes, have been connected.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key and use the
and
keys to choose between «Responder PSTN» and «Responder
GSM».
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key. Use the
and
keys to choose between “Unauthorized”,
“Ring 2”, “Ring 4” or “Ring 8”, where “Ring…” means the number of rings after which the responder answers.
3. Confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key.

Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This function increases the security level of remote management. After receiving a remote control phone call (Fast
Link - Modem) and checking that the security code corresponds, the communicator calls the installer back using
the modem.
Warning
: the Responder function must be active.
It is possible to choose between the two following types of counter call:
Type A
: the communicator calls the first modem number among the programmed ones.
Type B
: the communicator calls the specific phone number sent by remote via Fast Link.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key and use the

keys to choose between «Counter call disable», «Counter call
Type A» and «Counter call Type B».
2.
Confirm your choice by pressing the OK key.

– CALL DELAY [992]
Menu > Telephonic Trx - Advanced 1 > Advanced 1 - Call delay
Authorisation level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This enables you to delay the sending of a vocal type phone call by 30 seconds (fixed time). The purpose is to
avoid sending wrong alarm signalling caused, for example, by an oversight in system deactivation. The calls are
not sent if, within the delay time, any valid code is entered and confirmed.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key and use the

keys to choose between «Call delay active» and «Call delay
deactivated».
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key.
