3.3.2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STM30 3.00 COMMUNICATOR
NOTE
: the WL31TG edition of the control panel already includes the PSTN STM30 communicator module.
To assemble the PSTN STM30 3.00 communicator module in the control panel do as follows:
1. Insert the supplied nylon pipe in the specific hole on the
control panel main board.
2. Insert the module male connector in the female connector
(J4) of the main board and hook the nylon pipe on the
module.
3. Fix the module to the control panel cover using the
supplied screws.
4. Connect the phone line:
LA, LB: line inlet
PA, PB: line outlet, for further users
3.3.3 ASSEMBLY OF THE GSM DUAL BAND IMG30 MODULE
Warning
: the GSM Dual Band IMG30 module requires the presence of a PSTN STM30 communicator
module in the control panel.

RELEVANT INFORMATION ON SIM CARD
The SIM Card must be purchased separately, from a GSM mobile technology managing company of your choice.
There are different types of SIM Card: with a 5 V powering (now obsolete), with a 3 V and with a 1.8 V powering
(at the moment the most diffused and traceable in the market). The GSM Dual Band IMG30 module manages the
3 volt and the 1.8 Volt SIM Cards.
If you have any doubts, please contact the mobile phone Managing Company of your choice to find out the type of
SIM Card you have.
Before using the SIM Card do the following:
Insert the SIM Card into a mobile phone;
Activate the pre-paid SIM Card or the subscription;
In cases of pre-paid SIM Card, verify that it has a reasonable margin of credit to guarantee that the GSM
module is operating and take note of the card expiry date;
Set the PIN Code request (if you want it) on the SIM Card;
Disable the "Answerer" function provided by your GSM managing company from the SIM Card;
Remove the SIM Card from the mobile phone.
The SIM Card is now ready for use.
To assemble the GSM Dual Band module in the control panel, do as follows:
1. Insert the three nylon pipes in the specific holes in the control panel main board.
2. Insert the IMG30 module male connector in the female connector situated in the
STM30 module.
3. Hook the three nylon pipes on the IMG30 module.
4. Press the pole aerial into its specific location in the control panel cover, being
careful that the cabl
e welding is positioned towards the cover’s internal part.
5. Screw the aerial cable SMA connector into the connector situated on the IMG30
module.
