4.0 ACQUISITION OF THE DEVICES
Carry out the operations described hereafter for every device which will become part of the system. The purpose is that the
control panel acquires, which means recognises, all the devices.
THE ACQUISITION OF THE DEVICES MUST BE DONE IN THE SAME PLACE OF THE INSTALLATION
The first device which must be activated is the control panel itself, which will then have to acquire all the other devices.
4.1 POWERING AND ACQUISITION
4.1.1 CONTROL PANEL
1. If it is not open yet, open the control panel by unscrewing the screw situated on the front cover.
2. If present, remove the anti-passivation bridge from the connector of each battery. If the PS30 power pack has not been
connected yet, connect the batteries connectors (the position of the two connectors does not matter) with the control panel
main board battery connectors (J6 and J13).
3. Close the control panel again.
4. Select the language in which the menu items shall be displayed. Predefinite language is Italian, but one of the following
languages can be chosen: Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Finnish and Polish. For access to the
function

enter the following on the keyboard:

Use the keys
to scroll forwards and back the various languages. Confirm the choice by pressing
OK.
5. Program the number of required sectors
6. Activate the
Maintenance - Search channels
function to identify the best radio channel for communications. Input the
following on the control panel keyboard:

shows the message «Search underway…» whilst a bar shows the progression of the research.
7. When the research is finished, the display shows the message «Channel:

is the number of the operating radio
channel.
8. Press

to confirm this choice or repeat the procedure by pressing

NOTE
: the control panel has already randomly determined the system code, which is the code that univocally identifies all the
devices, in order to avoid the control panel recognizing devices which belong to other systems. It is advisable to keep this choice. If
you want to choose another system code instead (f.ex. because of the need of installing more than one control panel at the same
site), before moving on to item 7, do as follows:

; the display shows the message «System Code» with a flashing cursor;
input a 6 figures numeric code of your choice and press the OK key.

. The display shows the message «Acquisition underway…»: the control panel is ready to acquire
new devices.
4.1.2 IR30WL PASSIVE INFRARED DETECTOR
Warning
: do not touch the pyroelectric detector.
1. Open the detector by pressing the lower flap and by lifting the cover.
2. Insert the supplied battery according to the correct pole positions.
3. The LED turns on with a fixed light for about 4 seconds and then it flashes for about 5 seconds.
