CYLINDERS AND PISTONS
❍
Remove the Willis ring with a
punch, pay attention not to damage
the seat on the cylinder. It is
recommended to change the Willis
ring every time it is removed.
●
Move the horizontal cylinder
piston to top dead center by turning
the rollers of the timing layshaft with
the special tool part no. 88713.1805 .
Insert the spanner pins in the two
unthreaded holes in the roller; do
not use the threaded holes.

Using two large screwdrivers,
gently slide cylinder out as shown in
the picture. Then lift it until you gain
access to piston gudgeon pin.
❍
Remove the circlip from the
gudgeon pin on the clutch-side.
❍
Working from the other side,
move the gudgeon pin out until the
con-rod is released.
❍
Lift the piston-cylinder assembly
and remove it from the stud bolts. If
you are going to remove the piston
from the cylinder, mark all the parts
accordingly so that they can be
matched at reassembly.
●
Move the vertical cylinder piston
to top dead center and then repeat
the procedure already followed for
the horizontal cylinder piston.
❍
Remove the centring bushes from
the cylinders.
●
Block off the crankcase opening
with a rag to prevent foreign bodies
from entering inside.
CILINDRO E PISTONE
❍
Rimuovere l’anello Willis
aiutandosi con un punteruolo
facendo attenzione a non rovinare la
sede sul cilindro
Si consiglia di sostituire l’anello
Willis ad ogni smontaggio.
●
Portare il pistone del cilindro
orizzontale al punto morto superiore
ruotando le pulegge sull’albero di
rinvio distribuzione con la chiave
cod. 88713.1805 . I perni della chiave
devono essere inseriti nei 2 fori non
filettati della puleggia.

Sfilare delicatamente il cilindro,
aiutandosi con due grossi cacciaviti,
come in foto, quindi sollevarlo fino a
che risulti accessibile lo spinotto del
pistone.
❍
Rimuovere il fermo dello spinotto
dal lato frizione.
❍
Operando dal lato opposto, sfilare
lo spinotto quel tanto che basta da
disimpegnare la biella.
❍
Sfilare completamente dai
prigionieri il gruppo completo
pistone-cilindro. In caso di rimozione
del pistone dal cilindro
contrassegnare gli elementi per
poterli accoppiare nel rimontaggio.
●
Portare il pistone del cilindro
verticale al punto morto superiore
ed agire analogamente al cilindro
orizzontale.
❍
Rimuovere dai cilindri le boccole
di centraggio.
●
A questo punto è consigliabile
otturare le aperture del carter con
uno straccio per impedire che corpi
estranei possano cadere all’interno.
