Pressure plate
Check the condition of the bearing
(3); if there is excessive play,
change bearing. Check the surface
in contact with the last driven plate
(4). If the surface is very scored,
grind it smooth following the same
procedure as for the cylinder head
contact surfaces.
Change the spring caps at each
engine overhaul.
Clutch plates
Check the plates for burning,
grooves and deformation. Place the
plate on a reference surface and
check the amount of deformation
with a feeler gauge:
- Max. flatness error:
0.2 mm .
To check the wear of the driving
plates, measure the thickness of a
pack of 9 sintered plates.
Checking the clutch plates
The new clutch pack is made of:
5 driven plates 1.5 mm thick
0 driven plate 2.0 mm thick

convex driven plates
9 sintered driving plates
Check the clutch plate pack:
Measure sintered plates pack
thickness: nominal value is
22.5
mm
, if the reading falls within
22.5 -
23 mm range, leave the plates as
above; if it falls within 22-22.5 mm
range, fit a 2mm driven plate instead
of a 1.5mm one; if it falls within 21.5
- 22 mm
range, fit another
2 mm
driven plate instead of a 1.5 mm
one; if the pack is less than 22 mm
thick: change the driving plate pack
(the sintered ones).
Piatto spingidisco
Verificare le condizioni del
cuscinetto (3): in caso presenti
gioco eccessivo, sostituirlo.
Verificare la superficie a contatto
con l’ultimo disco condotto (4); se
risulta molto segnata, procedere a
levigatura seguendo la procedura
descritta per il piano testa.
Sostituire sempre, ad ogni revisione,
gli scodellini di tenuta molla.

Dischi
I dischi non devono presentare
tracce di bruciature, solchi o
deformazioni. Appoggiare il disco su
un piano di riscontro e controllare
con uno spessimetro l’entità della
deformazione:
- Errore max. di planarità:
0,2 mm .
Per verificare l’usura dei dischi
conduttori è necessario misurare il
pacco composto da n° 9 dischi
sinterizzati.
Controllo pacco dischi frizione
Il pacco frizione a nuovo è composto
da:
Nr. 5 dischi condotti spessore 1,5 mm
Nr. 0 dischi condotti spessore 2,0 mm
Nr. 4 dischi condotti bombati
Nr. 9 dischi conduttori sinterizzati
Verifica pacco frizione:
Misurare lo spessore del pacco dei
soli dischi sinterizzati: la misura
nominale è 22,5 mm , se la misura è
compresa tra 22,5 mm e 23 mm
lasciare i dischi come sopra, se è
compresa tra 22 mm e 22,5 mm
aggiungere un disco condotto da
2mm al posto di uno da 1.5mm, se è
compresa tra 21,5 mm e 22 mm
aggiungere un altro disco condotto
da 2 mm al posto di uno da 1,5 mm ,
se inferiore a 22 mm sostituire il
pacco dei dischi conduttori
(sinterizzati).
