Setting
The description here explains how to set up the packet communication connection without using the
“FOMA PC
設定ソフト
(FOMA PC setup software)”.
During packet communication, AT commands are used to specify various settings on a PC.
To specify settings, communication software to enter AT commands is necessary.
“
ハイパーターミナル
(Hyper terminal)”, which is included in Windows
®
as standard software, is used
here for explanation.
When you use the DoCoMo's Internet connection service “mopera U” or “mopera”, you do not need
to set an access point name (APN). (
☛
page 77)
You can set the caller ID notified/not notified (
☛
page 81) as needed. (If you use “mopera U” or
“mopera”, you need to set it to “
通知
(Notify)”.)

About AT commands
●
AT commands are those for controlling a modem. The FOMA terminal conforms to the AT
commands and supports some extended commands as well as its own AT commands.
●
By entering AT commands, you can set the details for the packet communication and the
FOMA terminal and can check (view) the settings.
●
If the entered AT command is not displayed, enter “ATE1
”.
