Connecting the FOMA Terminal
When connecting the FOMA terminal to a PC or PDA for the first time, install the “P2403
communication setup file” beforehand as described on pages 32 to 40 (for PC), or page 95 to step 10
of page 97 (for PDA).
When the PC or PDA Has a CF Card Slot
Insert the FOMA terminal directly into the PC or PDA.

This FOMA terminal operates on 3.3 or 5.0 VDC. Before connecting it to a PC or PDA,
make sure that the card slot in the PC or PDA can supply 3.3 or 5.0 VDC power. For
details, contact the manufacturer of the PC or PDA.

Do not insert the FOMA terminal with the antenna put up. Exerting any force on the antenna
can cause damage or malfunction.
● Do not remove the FOMA terminal from the PC or PDA during communication.
Attention Attention
Insert straight into the CF card
slot with the label facing up.

The position of the CF card slot and the
direction for inserting the card vary with
the PC or PDA. Refer to the manual for
the PC or PDA.

Referring to “To confirm FOMA Terminal
Insertion Status” on page 23, confirm
that the FOMA terminal has been
correctly inserted.
