Troubleshooting
Problems during Communication

Use the terminal inside the FOMA service area.
Make sure the /power light indicates it is inside of the service area.
●
Confirm the modem property settings and the registration
of the access point.
Connection is not made if the maximum speed is set to less than
4800, or if the FIFO buffer is set to OFF in the port settings.

Sometimes communication is not possible if the caller ID
display setting differs from the one specified by the
provider when you set up the access point using “

(Easy setting)” of “FOMA PC setup software”.
Follow the procedure below to check the caller ID setting,
and if it differs from the setting of your provider, change
the setting.
Right-click the icon for the dial-up network connection that you
created and select “
プロパティ
(Properties)”. Check whether “184” or
“186” is added to the phone number, and if it differs from the setup
specified by your provider, correct it on this display.
