The description here explains how to remove the FOMA terminal for when using Windows ® XP.
The displays may slightly differ in Windows ® 2000 Professional, but the removal method is the same,
so refer to the below.
When the “P2403 utility software” is running, exit the “P2403 utility software” first, and then remove
the FOMA terminal. (

If connected to the FOMA network, confirm that the communication link is shut down, then remove
the FOMA terminal. (

Confirm that “FOMA P2403” has been selected and click “OK”. When the “
FOMA

(You can now safely remove the FOMA P2403)”
message appears, click “OK”, and remove the FOMA terminal from the PC.

Do not carry around your PC or PDA with the FOMA terminal inserted.
When you need to carry around your PC or PDA, remove the FOMA terminal.
● Operation of the FOMA terminal will become unstable when the battery of PC or PDA runs
down. Check the battery level of the PC or PDA before using it.
● Do not grasp the antenna or exposed part of the FOMA terminal strongly or do not use it as
a handle when it is inserted in a PC or PDA. This can cause injury, malfunction, or damage.

We recommend that you put up the antenna in order to conduct stable communications with
the FOMA terminal. Check to see whether it is possible to put up the antenna while the
FOMA terminal is inserted in the card slot of the PC or PDA you are using.
● Hold the FOMA terminal by both sides and slide it straight in or out
when inserting or removing it. Pulling it out by the antenna or exerting
force on the antenna portion can cause malfunction or damage.
