8.9.4.4 Configuring "A" Checkitems

To include a complete AutoSequence or Inspection as part of a Checklist, an

A

Checkitem which invokes

that AutoSequence as a "procedure call" must first be created in the Checkitem Database.

Press "Edit Checkitem Database" on either the Checklist Library or Checklist Editor window and select
Type ‘A’ for the op code. Choose an "AutoSequence Type" (Safety, ECG, Physical Inspection, User Tester,
etc.) and a sequence "Number". The command string of the resulting Checkitem will encode the
AutoSequence required. For example, selecting Safety AutoSequence #05 will create the Checkitem
command "SAF05" in the database, or selecting User Tester #1, sequence #5, will create the Checkitem
command "UT105".

To help in creating AutoSequence Checkitems for use in Checklists, it is assumed the user of the ES601pc-
US program will have a list of Safety, ECG or User-Tester AutoSequence titles printed out and available for
reference. Such printouts can be made from the Editors used to make those types of sequences.
Alternatively, the user can run a second instance of ES601pc-US and use the Safety Autosequence Editor,
ECG AutoSequence Editor, or any other Editor of ES601pc-US to view the titles and other details of the
AutoSequences, and choose the desired AutoSequence number for the AutoSequence Checkitem being
created in the Checkitem Editor.

Do not try to make modifications in the second instance of ES601pc-US, as
it may be possible to corrupt the data files if both instances of the program
are trying to write to the same file(s).

Use the second instance of ES601pc-

US for viewing only.
