6.2.2 Test Startup

If an entered control number is recognized by ES601-US, the EQUIPMENT INFO menu will be displayed.
The EQUIPMENT INFO menu allows input of additional equipment information as previously described
in Chapter 5. The EQUIPMENT INFO menu will also display the title of the associated Checklist.

Pressing the

RUN TEST

button on the menu will initiate the associated Checklist. Prompts for equipment

physical inspection may be displayed, according to System Settings. Refer to Section 6.1

AutoSequence

Overview

for further details. When the test is completed, the SAVE TEST RECORD menu will be displayed.

6.2.3 Equipment Records by Checklist

Device information on the EQUIPMENT INFO menu can be modified at Checklist startup, or
immediately before a Record of a test is saved. This capability suggests an alternative or additional
application of the Equipment Record feature: the "control number" field of the Equipment Record can
alternatively be set to the

title

of a Checklist, using the Equipment Record module of ES601pc-US software.

After uploading such Equipment Records to ES601-US, on scanning a barcode of a Checklist title, or
entering a title via QWERTY touchscreen or PS/2 keyboard, the Checklist can be immediately recalled at
the MAIN MENU, without having to browse through the Checklist directory. At Checklist startup or once
the test is complete and prior to saving, the user may modify the control number field on the
EQUIPMENT INFO menu, replacing the Checklist name with the actual control number of the equipment
tested.
