8.6.11 Leakage Current (Battery-powered devices)

Under AAMI-BAT, IEC601-BAT, VDE-BAT and IEC353-BAT, which are intended for self-powered
devices, the leakage current test cannot be disabled. The type of test performed is Patient Leakage Current.

8.6.12 Leakage Current (IEC61010)

If the Leakage Current checkbox is checked, ES601-US will perform only an Enclosure Leakage Current
test. A point-to-point Enclosure Leakage test may be optionally enabled. Conditions of the AC power
supply for these leakage tests can be set under the Supply Conditions panel. Note the Device Power
condition is ON, according to the requirements of IEC61010.

Supply Conditions

8.6.13 Equipment Power (AAMI-ES1, IEC60601, AAMI-Battery and IEC60601-Battery)

Test with equipment power ON only, or test with the equipment power ON, then repeat with equipment
power OFF.

8.6.14 Polarity (AAMI-ES1, IEC60601, VDE0751 and IEC62353)

Perform the leakage current test with AC Line polarity Normal; or, test with polarity Normal, then repeat
with Line polarity Reversed.

8.6.15 Neutral (AAMI-ES1, IEC60601 and IEC61010)

Perform the leakage current test with AC neutral Normal (connected); or, test with neutral Normal, then
repeat with neutral Open (disconnected).

8.6.16 Ground (AAMI-ES1, IEC60601 and IEC61010)

Perform the leakage current test with ground Normal (connected); or, test with ground Normal, then repeat
with ground Open (disconnected).

Note:

The ground option is disabled if the device is a Class II device.
