10.3 Levels of compression
The maximum picture count (total for all tracks) is based on the
size of the hard disk. If you determine that the desired picture count
cannot be set, you can increase the compression of picture data.
The following table shows the theoretical calculated values of the
maximum picture count for various hard disk sizes according to
the available levels of compression. The compression level „0“
corresponds to the lowest and „4“ to the highest compression.
The values in the column 2) are rounded off and correspond to the
respective data length per picture depending on the set compression
level.
Please note that 20 GB of the hard disk in your DMS/DLS are
reserved for the operating system. The maximum possible picture
count can be calculated with the following formula:
