Functions
USV This function allows communication with an independent power
supply unit (USV) This means that messages can be sent from the
USV (for example charge status of the battery) to the recorder
where they can be output or processed. The recorder and USV
must be connected via a serial port if the recorder is to be powered
down in controlled conditions in the event of a power failure.
DNI This function allows the connection of an external control desk or
(camera control) a dome camera via a Dallmeier Network Interface (DNI-1).
Card reader For this function a TOWITOKO twin card reader can
(for VGA GUI) be connected to act as an access control. There is no need to
enter the passwords. Users must log on using two chip cards on
the VGA interface.
External storage The DAS-100/200 and DAS-System 110/210 external mass
system storages are connected via the SCSI port. This function also
means that they can be connected via the serial port. This means
that the recorder can query the status of the DAS system (for
example hard disc drive problems) and output or process the
messages it receives.
TerminalAdapter This function allows a Dallmeier TerminalAdapter to be connected.
This means that the recorder can be connected to the ISDN
network via serial port. The terminal adapter can be configured in
the dialog that is displayed automatically or at Setup > Network >
Settings > PSTN / TA.
NOTE
If "DNI" is set as the function, you have access to
other settings for the use of the data interface in
the In-output selection menu.
At this point, however, additional settings should
not be made for DNI, as a separate description is
output for the data interface and its use. An
exception is found in the Camera control via
DMS/DLS chapter.
