17.6 UPS – uninterruptible power supply
IMPORTANT
Ensure that only the original cables supplied with
the system are used when mounting.
Proper functioning of the UPS is not guaranteed
if other cables are used.
To access the UPS function and
make the relevant settings,
proceed as follows:
¾
Click Serial in the Interfaces
input/output dialog
selection.
¾
Select the serial interface
(COM1 or COM2) to which
the UPS unit is connected.
¾
Select the UPS function.
During the initial setup of the UPS function, the UPS dialog is opened
automatically after you click OK (Fig. 17-24).
This dialog can be accessed via Interfaces > UPS for subsequent
changes.
This selection is only activated if the UPS function was selected in
the Serial Interfaces dialog.
First select the UPS Type used
in the UPS dialog. Currently,
three types from the
manufacturer APC (American
Power Conversion Corp.) are
supported.
