Card reader

Using the Card Reader function, access to the recording system
is only possible with a card (chip card) in conjunction with a card
reader. The card is used in place of password entry.

NOTE

The card can only be configured by the
manufacturer.

The card data is set according to the password
level (guest, user, installer, administrator).

The standard passwords of the individual levels
(0, 1, 2, 3) should be changed before card
configuration for security reasons.

The card reader is connected to one of the serial interfaces
(COM 1 or COM 2) of the DMS/DLS.

Click Card reader in the Interfaces input/output dialog selection
for configuration.

IMPORTANT

Exclusion from the system with defective or non-
connected card reader.

When the card data have been imported, access
to the system is only possible using an appropriate
card in the card reader. If you cannot access the
system, only the service personnel (system
installer or support) can reinstate access.
