Functions
None The interface is deactivated.
External control This function allows the recorder to be controlled by an external
application / device via the serial interface (DaVid protocol).
Control commands are only received, however, no confirmation is
returned.
External control This function is identical to the External control function whereby
with confirmation in this case after each control command confirmation will be sent
to the application / device to which the command relates.
Mouse A serial mouse can be connected to control the recorder via the
FBAS interface (reboot required).
This is only advisable if mouse control is required over a distance
of up to 100 m. This cannot be achieved using a PS/2 or USB
mouse.
Important
The recorder can only be controlled with a serial or a PS/2 mouse
via the FBAS interface.
Card reader For this function a TOWITOKO twin card reader can
(for FBAS GUI) be connected to act as an access control. There is no need to
enter the passwords. Users must log on using two chip cards on
the FBAS interface.
Timer Allows the Dallmeier DFM-1 timer to be connected. After a reboot
this will automatically be used as the timer for the recorder.
Transparent Using this function data can be sent via the recorder to another
data channel device. The data then arrive at the receiver in exactly the same
form as they were sent by the transmitter (transparent data
channel).
This is used, for example, to send control signals from PView via
LAN to the recorder. This then forwards them to a controllable
camera via the serial port.
In the opposite direction, confirmation signals from the camera are
read at the serial port and sent via LAN to PView.
DNI This setting allows an external system to be connected
(external system) for example an automatic teller machine (ATM), access control
system or a Huth cash desk via a Dallmeier Network Interface
(DNI-1).
PSTN (modem) This function allows an analog modem to be connected. The
modem can be configured in the dialog that is displayed
automatically or at Setup > Network > Settings > PSTN / TA.
