3.5 Email Notification
3.5.1 Email Notification Description
X-320M™ can be configured to send messages to five email addresses when a sensors alarm point is
reached. Sensors that are connected to X-320M™ and configured can generate an email message
When an email message is sent, it will look similar to this:
MET Station
Trigger: RAIN - High Alarm
WSPD: 15 mph
WDIR: 270 degrees
RAIN: 20 inches
TEMP: 78.57 ºF

Subject Line
The top line (that reads MET Station) appears in the subject line of the email message. This is the same
text that appears as the header on the
Status Page
. It is set in the Site Description Text field under the
Status Setup
tab.
Trigger
The first line displayed in the body of the message shows the event that triggered the message. The text
“Trigger” will always appear and cannot be changed. The remaining text includes the trigger name, and
what caused the trigger. The text that describes the trigger and its current state are configured in the
setup pages.
Current Status of the Meteorological Station
The remainder of the email message will display the same information shown on the
Status Page
.
Sensors that are not used on the
Status Page
will not be included in the email message.
3.5.2 Email Notification Setup
Email notification requires that the following fields are properly configured. See
Section 2.4.2
for a
description of each field.

Subnet Mask
Gateway
Preferred DNS Server (this is required if Mail Server is entered by name and not by IP address)
Alt DNS Server
Mail Server (SMTP)
User Name (If Required)
Password (If Required)
