9. Connect battery cables, positive (+) cable first, and tighten hardware to 144 in-lb (16 N·m).

See Figure 1-1, Page 1-3.

Coat terminals with Battery Terminal Protector Spray (CCI P/N 1014305) to

minimize corrosion

10.

XRT 800/810:

Place the Forward/Reverse handle in the NEUTRAL position and chock the wheels.

11.

XRT 850:

Place the Forward/Reverse handle in the NEUTRAL position, chock the wheels, and the neu-

tral lockout switch in the MAINTENANCE position.

12. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks and proper engine operation.
