The Cisco ASR 1001 Router does not support full-height SPAs.

Single midplane design (all connectors on one interface midplane)

One 10/100/1000-Mbps Ethernet Management port—To be used only as a management port; not to
be used as an Ethernet interface port

Both quarter-rate (87.5 MHz) and full-rate (350 MHz) shared port adapter operation
The Cisco QuantumFlow Processor processing provides:

Next Generation forwarding and queuing subsystems for Cisco routers to provide data path
acceleration.
The Cisco ASR 1000 Series route processor system performs the following system management

Managing tables, caches, and buffers

Monitoring interface and environmental status

Providing Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) management through the console and
Telnet interface

Accounting for and switching of data traffic
