Use a small screwdriver to push in the
lockout screw and turn it 1/4 turn clock-
wise to lock it in the “in” position. This
allows compressed air to flow to the
system.
Move to the rear of the machine.
Locate the spreader solenoid air valve for
the side of the machine where the belt gap
is being adjusted and locate the valves’
override screws (Figure 7-31, A, B)
For the side where the gap is being ad-
justed, use a small screwdriver to push
in the lockout screw and turn it 1/4 turn
clockwise to lock it in the “in” position.
This allows compressed air to flow to the
spreader valve.
Move into the front middle of the machine.
Use care.
Locate the spreader arm positioning bolt
(Figure 7-32).
Loosen this bolt and move the front
spreader arm until it is 3/8” (9-10 mm)
from the rear arm (Figure 7-33, A).
Securely tighten the bolt.
