Repair

Put the unit into test mode and test the

appropriate section to determine the type

of exhaust air flow needed. For more

information, refer to the

CHI PANEL

OPERATION

bulletin,

Test

section.

INL12--Inlet conveyor lift cylinder

(left down=209; right down =217).

TRN12--Transfer Rodless Air Cylinder

(left forward=227; left back=229; right

forward=228; right back=230).

SPR--Lower spreader belt push air

cylinders (left/right in=PS1; left/right

out=PS4).

Press the red STOP button.

Adjust the exhaust ﬂow on the selected

cylinder, turning the screw 1/8 to 1/4 turn

at a time.

Adjusting the controls clockwise will

decrease the air ﬂow and slow move-

ment.

Adjusting the controls counter-

clockwise will increase the air ﬂow

and speed movement.

Repeat Steps 3 to 7 until air cylinder is

operating properly.

Start the unit and process several pieces

of ﬂatwork to make sure the adjustment is

working correctly.

Discharge Conveyor Air Cylinder Air

Flow Adjustment

Make sure the discharge conveyor is operating

correctly in that it both raises and lowers smoothly

and evenly.

Required Tools

thin slotted screwdriver

Perform only when the unit is OFF

with power disconnected.

Turn power OFF at the main disconnect

switch.

Turn ON the compressed air supply to

the unit.

Flip the DISCHARGE CONVEYOR UP/

DOWN switch to the UP position.

Check to make sure the conveyor raises

smoothly and evenly until the safety

bracket engages the latch bolt.

Release the safety latch and ﬂip the DIS-

CHARGE CONVEYOR UP/DOWN

switch to the DOWN position.

Check to make sure the conveyor lowers

smoothly and at a moderate pace.

If necessary, open the left endframe door

and adjust the lower ﬂow control valve

(Figure 7-67).

Repeat Steps 3 to 7 until the discharge

conveyor is operating properly.

Close and secure the left endframe door.
