9-90 Upgrading Your Server

3.5-inch Disk Model

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier.

Pull out the server from the rack.

Remove the top cover.

Remove the cable while holding both ends of the cable fixing bracket.

Remove the screw from the optical disk drive bracket, then remove the optical disk drive bracket.

Move the bracket to the left, as viewed from the front of server.

Remove the optical disk drive by sliding it to the direction shown by the arrow mark in the figure below.
