The Interface
An introduction to the Lightscape
tools and interface conventions.
The Lightscape user interface provides access to a suite of interactive tools, which
you use to prepare models for radiosity processing.

Starting Lightscape
To start Lightscape, double-click the Lightscape
application icon. By default, this icon is located in
the Lightscape program folder.
You can also start Lightscape by choosing it from the
Start menu.
Overview of the Interface
The Lightscape interface consists of five major
Lightscape model components. The largest and
most important is the Graphic window. It is located
on the left side and occupies the majority of the
screen, by default. The four other components, the
Layers, Materials, Blocks, and Luminaires tables, are
grouped together in a vertical bar of list windows on
