Connecting the cables
1. Remove cable sheathing in a length of 120 – 140 mm.
2. Strip wires: controls 8 mm, motor 12 mm.
2 wires for each connection permitted.
3. For flexible cables: use end sleeves according to DIN 46228.
4. Connect cables according to order-related wiring diagram.
Cable cross sections:
–
Power terminals (U1, V1, W1) = 2.5 – 6 mm² (flexible or rigid)
–
PE connection = 2.5 – 6 mm² (flexible or rigid)
–
Control contacts (1 to 50) = 1.5 mm² (flexible or rigid)
5. Tighten protective earth firmly to PE connection
Connecting the heater
The heater prevents condensation in the actuator. Unless ordered other-
wise, the heater is internally supplied and does not require separate con-
nection.
Connecting the motor heater (option)
Some actuators are equipped with an additional motor heater. The motor
heater improves the start-up behaviour for extremely low temperatures.
Ò
Connect motor heater R4, if available, according to wiring diagram.
