Connecting power cables
1. Remove cable sheathing.
2. Strip wires.
3. For stranded wires: use end sleeves according to DIN 46228.
4. Connect cables according to order-related wiring diagram.
Cable cross sections:
–
Power terminals (U, V, W) = max. 10 mm²
–
PE connection (symbol:
) max. 10 mm²
–
Control contacts (1 to 50) = 2.5 mm² (flexible or rigid)
Connecting the heater
The heater prevents condensation in the actuator. Unless ordered other-
wise, the heater is internally supplied and does not require separate con-
nection.
Connecting the motor heater (option)
Some actuators are equipped with an additional motor heater. The motor
heater improves the start-up behaviour for extremely low temperatures.
Ò
Connect motor heater R4, if available, according to wiring diagram.
Connect bus cables
1. Connect bus cable (refer to figure 17).
2. If the actuator is the final device in the bus segment:
Ò
Connect termination resistor for channel 1 through linking the terminals
31 - 33 and 32 – 34 (standard).
3. Connect screen to terminal rack (symbol:
).

Operation instructions
Danger of corrosion due to condensation!
Ò
For version with external heater supply (option):
Connect heater R1 according to terminal plan.
Ò
For all versions: After mounting, immediately put device into operation.
