Note
Check the vehicle data label or the designation on the rear final
drive itself to determine which one is installed in the vehicle. Then
select the correct rear final drive repair manual.
– Remove the driveshaft. Refer to repair manual. Refer to “Rear
Final Drive 0BC”: ⇒ Rear Final Drive 0BC, 0BD, 0BE, 0BF;
Rep. Gr. 39 ; Driveshaft; Driveshaft, Removing and Installing
or ⇒ Rear Final Drive 0BF and 0BE - Sport Differential; Rep.
Gr. 39 .
– Remove the bolt -arrow- from the ATF pipes -1 and 2-.
– Remove the left and right front muffler. Refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr.
26 ; Exhaust Pipes/Mufflers; Front Muffler, Removing and In‐
stalling .
– Remove the subframe crossbrace. Refer to ⇒ Suspension,
Wheels, Steering; Rep. Gr. 40 ; Subframe; Subframe Cross‐
brace, Removing and Installing .
Caution
The suspension components could be damaged.
♦ Do not rest the vehicle on its wheels if the subframe
mount, steering gear or subframe crossbrace are not in‐
stalled correctly.
Note
Place a clean cloth under the separating point to catch the es‐
caping ATF.
