– Carefully pry out the selector lever boot on the side using the

-3409- or a small screwdriver -arrows- and then fold it upward.

– Insert the -T40031- through the opening -arrow- in the selector

mechanism and loosen the bolt on the selector lever cable

approximately one turn.

Note

♦

Only loosen the clamping screw - do not remove it.

♦

The clamping screw is only accessible when the selector lever

is in “D” or “D/S”.

♦

The selector lever must remain in “D” or “D/S” when the clamp‐

ing screw is loose.

– Vehicles with a selector lever heat shield: remove the bolts

-arrows-, remove the heat shield.

– Remove the ball socket -1- on the selector lever cable from

the selector shaft lever using the -80-200- .

– Press the securing clips -2- off and remove the selector lever

cable from the transmission.

Note

Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.
