– Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to ⇒  Engine Mechani‐

cal, Fuel Injection and Ignition; Rep. Gr.  26 ; Emissions

Control; Catalytic Converter, Removing and Installing .

– Remove bolts -2 to 5- connecting the engine and transmission.

Note

♦

The bolts -3 and 5- also attach the wire bracket on the trans‐

mission.

♦

The bolt -2- attaches the starter to the transmission and has

an additional spacer sleeve -arrow-.

♦

Remove the sleeve when removing the bolt at the top of the

starter.

– Move the tower brace into its installed position and then tighten

the bolts hand-tight.

– Secure the engine with the -T10038- as illustrated.
