Section III: Building a Stack with VCStack Plus
Cabling the SFP+ Slots on the Controller Cards
Now that you have configured both chassis for the stacking feature, you
are ready to cable the SFP+ slots on the controller cards to build the trunk
between the two units.
Note
Please review the background information in “Stack Trunk” on
page 303 and “Cabling Configurations for the Trunk” on page 305
before cabling the SFP+ slots on the controller cards.
For installation instructions, refer to the following sections:
For fiber optic SFP+ transceivers, refer to “Installing SFP+
Transceivers” on page 186.
For AT-SP10TW Cables, refer to “Installing AT-SP10TW Cables”
on page 191.
Note
The transceivers and direct connect cables must be from Allied
Telesis. The two chassis will not form a stack if the transceivers are
from another network equipment manufacturer.
After cabling the SFP+ slots on the controller cards, go to “Powering On
the Stack” on page 333.
